Tiger Tribute: Jose Capellan

I was alerted this afternoon via ESPN on my phone that former Tiger pitcher Jose Capellan passed away today at the age of 34 due to an apparent heart attack.  He only pitched in ten games for the Tigers.

Capellan pitched in the majors from 2004-2008 playing for the Braves, Brewers, Tigers, and Rockies.

Here are his stats for his time with the Motown Kitties.

Tiger Tribute: Dave Bergman

It was announced today that former Tiger Dave Bergman passed away over the weekend.

Tigers acquired Bergman in the 1984 season, which worked out for everybody and stuck around through 1992.

My wife took batting practice with Dave Bergman prior to the All-Star game in Detroit.

Unfortunatley, Bergman died too young at age 61.

Tiger Tribute: Jeff Robinson

When I was investigating the April 30 collection, I noticed in the the "Memoriam" section of baseball-reference.com that former Tigers pitcher Jeff Robison had passed away on October 26

He had 80 total cards, I have 36
