and that makes 9,000+

I used to have a monthly post of Tigers on the Wall where I would breakdown where I stood on my beloved Motown Kitties and the quest to acquire every single piece of cardboard even remotely associated with the club.

One "goal" for 2014 was to reach 9k in Tigers, which would have been roughly 3,000 for the year.

Not too hard when you consider parallels upon parallels, but I have made an effort to complete team sets, around 205 total team sets including:

Score : 1988-1998 (all base sets complete)
Upper Deck 1989 -2005, 2008-2010
Fleer 1981 - 1996, 1998-1999

Those That remain today: years indicate ones team sets owned

Bowman: 1989-2005, 2011-14
Topps: 1974, 1976-2014
Topps Update/Traded: 1974-2014 complete
Donruss (Panini); 1981 -1998, 2005, 2014

Next year is Now, and my focus will primarily be team set completion and Alan Trammell PC.

I am at around 350 unique Trammell's and hope to get to 500 by the end of the year.

I have no idea what the numbers on the disc mean?

Bits & Pieces

Have you ever had the feeling once you leave the LCS that you left some cards behind?

I saw these cards a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't recall whether I possessed them or not.  Upon return home, I discover that I do not.  I obsessed for the next week about getting back over to the LCS and obtaining them.

There was also a personal lot of cards that someone was giving away that I acquired that had quite an assortment of junk wax, but loads of hall of famers and stars.

These are the Tigers in the lot I didn't have, but now I do.

Just Call Him AL

The original post title was going to be entitled "Sickening" as in the Tigers owned the head to head series with Kansas City and since August 31, KC has been just rollin' --- appears to be all the way to the World Series. ( I hoped I jinxed them) and I have a sneaky suspicion that they may keep this going into next season ( I hope I just jinxed it again)

Way back at the end of summer I hosted the initial Epic Team Break and reader, follower Al from the nation of Canada offered up his Tigers for a heaping helping of Jays.  Not a problem.

He included some classic O - Pee - Chee, let's see, shall we?

Here are some others....

Thanks Al, your Jays are on the way!!!

The New 300 Card Man

Over the summer, Miguel Cabrera eclipsed Alan Trammell in my personal collection and was the first to hit 300 in my Player Collection totals.  I had wrote on this cherished childhood hero being surpassed and rekindled a need to get more Trammell in my life.

Scouring SportLots and busting kids piggy banks has allowed #3 to inch past Miggy to 329 cards and reclaim #1, here's a peak.
